WHITE SHAPES

Arriving at his studio, I expected to see the colorful abstractions I was familiar with, but instead I saw multiple, all-white objects. My friend then told me, very simply, that he had renounced color to achieve, with minimal means, the maximum in poetry.
He said, “I want to build with materials as humble as bread,” and these objects, as humble as bread, yet so rich in silvery magic, offer themselves, pearls for other white dreams, for other moments of happiness.
