The problem of religious furnishings challenges me as a man, as an artist, and as a believer.
As for the temple, also in the case of furnishings, a work that is aesthetically creative is decisive – also from the liturgical point of view – only if it saves and develops this innocence and customary aspect, infusing them only with that extra touch that one moment is God’s shadow and another it is His light.
The more the ornaments and furnishings remain identifiable […], the more they can express the mystery of faith that envelops and welcomes them
